why does god love you?

the start

Before time existed, God created the world and man to take care of it. From the very beginning, God’s desire was to have a personal relationship with mankind.

the fall

For a time, God and mankind held a close relationship. But one day mankind fell to sin. Sin is the wrong doings in our lives that go against the Will of God. Some examples of sin include lying, stealing, and jealousy. No matter how seemingly small the sin, sin is sin.

Unfortunately, sin came into the world and caused a rift between God and mankind. Because of sin, God and mankind could no longer have the relationship that God intended.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23

the cost

Sin caused a divide between us and God, and the cost is great. There is a wage or price to be paid for sin and the price is eternal separation from God after we pass away.

For the wages of sin is death

Romans 6:23a

the good news

Sin created a divide between God and man. But the story didn’t end there. God wanted to restore the relationship that was lost with man. He loved us so much even with our sinful nature that He made a way for us to gain a new life in Him.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23

God sent his son to make a way.

God loves us so much that he sent His Son to pay the price for us on the cross. He took our sin, died in our place, was buried, and rose from the grave on the the third day conquering death and sin. God paid it all for us to have the greatest gift of all, eternal life with Him.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

But God commended his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I Corinthians 15:3-4

the call

So now what? God loves us and paid the price for us. We want to have a relationship with Him, what do we have to do? We need to Admit, Believe, and Call.

A – Admit

Admit our sin and the cost that comes with it.

B – Believe

Believe that He died on the cross and rose again the third day.

C – Call

Call upon Jesus as the Lord of your life, asking Him to save you.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:9

God is waiting for you to call on Him. Will you call on Him today?

In realizing these truths and accepting them by faith, you can have assurance of the salvation of your soul and a future home in Heaven. Salvation is a gift from God and it can never be taken away. If you made that decision, we would love to hear about it, and we would love to help you along this new life in Christ.
